Under the Stars, We Dance . . .
A Scholarship Benefit for the Next Generation
(Santa
Fe) During the Santa Fe
Fiesta, Moving People Dance Theatre will present a gala evening to benefit the
next generation of dancers and dance audiences.
Janet Eigner, writer for Dance Magazine says, ÒMoving People Dance Theatre's open-arms approach to
collaboration with Santa Fe's home-grown and internationally known dance
companies initiates a new and spirited optimism that invites and unites.Ó
One
hundred percent of the net proceeds will benefit the educational programs of
five local dance companies in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Espanola.
The Santa Fe Opera Theater is the setting
for the evening of six works mirroring the regionÕs diverse history and
contemporary edge. The magic
begins at sunset on September 9. Presenters

individual sponsors are being sought to bring northern New Mexico students to
the performance, to allow as many young people as possible to benefit from the
celebration.
