ABOUT THIS CONCERT
In this time of changing seasons and the equinox, I will offer songs for any and all who care to listen live, via the interwebs and those quartz-containing devices that are able to connect us across space and time zones.
A few months ago, a collision of destinies forced me to shift focus from anxious over-giving(and other avoidance tactics) more bravely towards that sacred question, What do I desire?
The word desire may have origins in “de sidere," or “from the stars.” The songs that have come to me as of late feel like part of a star map that I may navigate by.
“Follow the Yesses,” “Made it Through,” and “I Walk with my Ancestors,” are some of the melodies birthed. I’ve desired generosity; the songs ask me to send them out into the world.
You are warmly invited to enjoy and sing along if you so choose.
With heart,
Esme Olivia

ABOUT ESME OLIVIA
Esme Olivia grew up in traditional Tiwa lands known as Albuquerque, NM. Hers is a weaving of lineages from Mexico, Holland, the Jewish diaspora, and the Great Mystery. A company member with Dancing Earth Creations, she has participated as a music, movement, theatre, and teaching artist. The biomimicry, a core part has led to an embodied sense of connection and reverence for life. Esme is especially keen on vocal harmonies and exploring how music, dance, and storytelling may seed new cultures and offer fresh water for the thirsty. She looks forward to releasing many new, multilingual songs to the world in 2023.
