this month is bursting with creativity :

- an open class , all people are welcome

- free public presentations, performances, celebrations

- and a retreat at the end of the month...

and in the Bay Area , the Listening project with open salons with mentors, with work in progress sharing of "Listening, In the House of Matriarchs.." at CSU East Bay ..

This is the work we choose to do because we feel we must..

A direct response to these harsh times

- including towards arts with death by de-funding..

Yes, I am hungry,

yes we feel driven to make offerings of defiant resilience and even the elusive joy -

offering somatic healing,

powerful imagination,

vessels for grief and transcendence by embodying the ancestors that became mined as oil /metal/minerals,

honoring the less-heard voices of community elders,

weaving recycled fabric into cords that connect us to trees, making space for simmering herbs for tea and writing postcards within a performance ritual,

celebrating the power of the sun,

and generating the sound and movement to vibrate into alternative futures ...
