EARTH BODY : MOvement for All
offers an AUTUMNAL RETREAT
When : SEPT 26 evening to Sept 28 morning , 2025, soon after equinox
Where : We are honored to offer an especially luxurious experience with CASA DEL SOL , an exclusive spot at Ghost Ranch, which is a unique historical retreat spot 2 miles from the campus center with private courtyard and rooms ..
EARTH BODY: Movement for All offers an autumn retreat at Ghost Ranch : gentle eco-somatic movement - reconnecting body to a sense of place through imagination and intuition, memory and multi sensory awareness. We will experience embodiment forms for morning awakening , daytime vitality and nightly dreaming alongside drawing/ poetic journalling , land art , nature and quotes from Robin Kimmerer’s “Braiding Sweetgrass” and other inspiring texts .
The 3 day arc reflects the timing just after equinox, exploring qualities of balance that are present in the planetary movement at this season. Participants will enjoy a sense of revitalization with creative movements inspired by expressions of the energy of body as earth , from multi sensory observation - such as spiralling branches of trees, the stillness of rock, the horizontal color bands of sunset.
Led by a dance artist with decades of international experience, Rulan is also a cancer survivor who has experienced the life-giving power of simple restorative and intuitive movement. She now extends her professional dance dedication to offering simple forms that are accessible to all, from a spirit of encouragement , empowerment and individual sovereignty to adapt and grow through movement.
No dance background is necessary while those at advanced physical level will enjoy deepening the purpose of movement ; and those with interest in trying forms such as yoga, stretch/strength, tai chi , breathwork, will be nourished by EARTH BODY’s uniquely poetic expressions of motion !
The retreat offers a gentle flow of movement arts that are both relaxing and invigorating, connecting the inner dreamscape to the outer landscape through eco somatic embodiment practices that reflect the season
